The BG Agro Agricultural Company team has been developing large-scale agriculture for 20 years. Today, it manages, together with other related companies, nearly 120 000 decares (near 12 000 hectares) of agricultural land located in over thirty towns in the counties of Varna, Silistra, Razgrad, Shumen and Dobrich. The company invests in the cultivation of high-quality cereals and oilseeds (wheat, barley, maize, eincorn wheat sunflower and rapeseed). Over the last few years, we have diversified our production with new crops: durum wheat, soybeans, chickpeas, peas and fennel seeds.
From July 2016 BG Agro Agricultural Company Ltd. has been listed on the Ministry of Agriculture and Food’s Register of producers, processors and traders of organically produced agricultural products and foods. Currently, we are in the process of certification for organic farming.
Our agricultural production is equipped with modern agricultural machinery from leading, world renowned manufacturers such as John Deere, Titan Machinery, Kverneland, Horsch, Tecnoma, New Holland, Lemken, Belarus and others. We maintain our own transportation unit of 30 trucks and own warehouses. The automation and computerization of the equipment minimizes the losses during sowing and harvesting, keeping the maintenance personnel to a minimum.
BG Agro Agricultural Company is an innovative and rapidly growing company, which has completed a number of SAPARD (Special Accession Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development) projects for the purchase of agricultural machinery and investment in farm productions set by State Fund “Agriculture”.
Bulgaria’s membership in the EU provides a wide range of opportunities for the future development of the agricultural companies through opportunities for funding under the outlined measures in the National Agroecology Program and the Program for Rural Development part of the national commitments, designed to comply with the common agricultural policy of the European Union.
